How You Can Put A Duvet In A Cover
Sometimes we tend to take things for granted especially when they don’t seem important. Some few weeks back I read a post in one of the industry forums about a woman who was having trouble inserting a comforter in the duvet cover. In my lifetime I have share a number of times about cheap duvet covers and all that jazz but I have never thought of this a worthy of a post until now.
In this post I provide an easier way on how to go about doing this effectively. Hopefully it will save you from the frustration and possible damage to your colorful duvet covers caused by the pulling and folding and helplessness.
Different people do this differently. I once met a woman who actually crawls inside her flannel duvet cover so she can be able to pull the comforter and fit it into place. I am not sure I would ever do that myself – apart from the fact that you may want to scrub the floor thoroughly first to avoid messing up your freshly washed cover this is just not right.
One of the most easier ways is to just roll it up – like a carpert. Once you’ve done that just put it in the duvet and unroll it. The next one is my favourite way of doing it. Turn the cover inside out and then line it up i.e. the corner of the quilt with the inside seam of the cover. And then once you have lined it up just flip it right side out. While doing it make sure you keep holding on to the corners.
Another option is to buy and use some duvet clips. You use these clips to hold the quilt with the inside seam together so when you flip the cover right side out it fits perfectly into position. A metal clip is fine but try to find a soft foam one for best results. After you’ve attached the clips on to the quilt and seam you can then flip the cover right side out and it will remain in place – and you will be done.
