My Road to Becoming a Boiler Fitter
As of now I am 35 years old, my life has not been to good over recent years. I did not have no job and no money. My story really began when I was 16; I left home at quite a young age as I have always thought that I am independent, my first job was working in a fast food chain flipping burgers for a living.
This was not a job I wanted to do forever so I quickly quit and moved on to work in a retail outlet, it wasnt really something I enjoyed but it was easy work and easy money. I was basically getting money handed to me on a plate.
After a few years my mind grew up I was settling down to have a family, but we always seemed to struggle with finances. I finally had enough and the last push point was when the boiler in my home broke down. I eventually decided to call the heating oil suppliers to come out and see what the problem was, I don’t think it was anything major but we got slapped with a £500 bill for half an hours work. The boiler people were actually making a fortune and I was missing out on it all.
Maybe the boiler breaking down was the best thing that could have happened to me as after this I went and worked as a junior trainee for a local company. A few years on and I am npw earning a fortune. A mist of luck made my life change forever.
